Psychological assessement of job applicants
Linkels & Van Wilgen uses a broad array of reliable psychological tests from both Dutch and American suppliers.
The psychologists of Linkels & Van Wilgen are all member of the Dutch Institute of Psychologists (NIP)
Organizations can choose in general from 3 different levels of pschological assessment"
- simple psychological assessment for lower ranking jobs or with limited questions.
- normal psychological assessment
- psychological assessment of candidates for higher ranking jobs or with more complex questions.
With every type of assessment the following elements are assessed:
- Intellectual capacities
- Emotional stability
- Personality
Depending on the nature of the position elements such as Leaderschip Qualities, Administrative Insight, Technical Insight or Commercial Insight can also be assessed.
Apart from the use of "paper & pencil tests" the intake with one of our psychologists forms an important part of our assessment.
A report of the results of the assessment is drawn up within 10 working days. Each report contains the most important results plus a conclusion and advice from the psychologist in charge of the assessment
Based on the code of ethics of the Association of Dutch Psychologists (NIP), all candidates are entitled to information about the test results.

Apart from the paper & pencil tests, an intake with the psychologist is an important element of this type of assessment. Candidates receive an extensive written report with the conclusion and advice concerning possible vocational choices. This report is disscussed with the candidate.
Assessment Centre Techniques
With the help of Assessment Centre Procedures it is possible to establish the management potential of candidates, simulating a real life situation in al its complexity. The assessment instruments used by Linkels & Van Wilgen are:

- One-on-one conversation (with a subordinate)
- The Group Discussion
- The Management Presentation
The candidates in the assessment procedure are rated in their performance by trained assessors working in both the profit and non-profit sector. The tasks in the Assessment Centre are tailored to the specific caribben situations.
